The book "The second circumnavigation of the yacht "Apostol Andrey".

The book is written by Nikolay Litau, a skipper of the yacht "Apostol Andrey". His narration is in the gender of diaries and is dedicated to the round the world voyage, which took place in 2001-2002. The yacht "Apostol Andrey" sailed around the Western Hemisphere, completing the outstanding project: "Grand figure of eight".

The book "Round the world sailing of the yacht "Apostol Andrey".

In 1996-1999 the yacht Apostol Andrey carried out a round the world voyage over all four oceans of our planet, including the Arctic Ocean. During this voyage for the first time in the seafaring history a sailing vessel passed the North East Passage. The book is based on the diaries of Nikolay Litay, a skipper of the yacht "Apostol Andrey", and is dedicated to the expedition of 2001-2002, when the yacht closed "a ring" along the perimeter of the Arctic Ocean.

The film "Under sail – to the edge of Earth"

This film narrates about the second circumnavigation of the yacht Apostol Andrey in 2001-2002. As a result of this voyage the yacht "Apostol Andrey" became the first Russian yacht which managed to sail along the sea route near the shores of Alaska and the straits of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago (the North-West Passage).

The film "Four Oceans of the yacht Apostol Andrey".

In 1996-1999 the yacht "Apostol Andrey" carried out a unique circumnavigation. For the first time a sailing vessel passed the North Marine Route. Nikolai Litau, a skipper of the yacht, received prestigious world yacht's awards: the Medal "For seamanship" Medal and the Blue Water Medal.

The book – photo album "Challenging Greenland", written by Dmitry and Matvey Shparo, was published in October 2001 (in English and Russian).

The photo-album narrates about the exploration history of Greenland and about the first Russian expedition across this icy desert. You can buy this book with the autographs of the authors at the office of the Adventure Club.

The price: 25 $US. All proceeds of the book-album sale will go for the orphans charity program.


The Adventure Club produced series of videos about its realized extreme expeditions.

"Victory on McKinley"

This film narrates about the Mt. McKinley, situated in the North America, 6194 m, and about the ascent to its summit, which was made by the team of the Adventure Club. The unique expedition took place in May-July 2002 and became one of the most remarkable achievements, as the two members of the team were disabled and used wheel chairs in everyday life.

"The sketches of optimism"

The film tells about an ascent of the international team of disabled sportsmen of Mt. Kazbek, 5045 m, one of the most beautiful mountains in the Caucasus Mountains, the highest peak of Georgia.

"We were going to the African sky"

In 1997 the Russian-Tanzanian team of disabled sportsmen successfully completed an ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro, 5896 m, the highest and the most beautiful mountain of Africa, glorified by Ernest Hemingway.

"Challenging Greenland"
(English and Russian versions).

In spring 2000 Matvey Shparo, Boris Smolin and Igor Kuznetsov, a mobility impaired participant in a wheel chair, travelled 630 km in 43 days over the ice desert of Greenland.

"Marathon through anguish"

The unprecedented action, organized by the Adventure Club in the year of the 10-th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, had become a symbol of courage and unbending faith in abilities of a human being. Seven disabled sportsmen in wheel chairs overcame 10000 km in six months along the route: Semipalatinsk – Cheljabinsk – Chernobyl.

"Following the sun"

Yuri Shapovalov, Alexander Sukhan and Evgeny Kolychkov overcame 12000 km in wheel chairs from the east to the west along the whole territory of Russia. This super marathon 1992 became the first project of the Club with participation of disabled people.
