The permanent skipper of the yacht "Apostol
Andrey" is Nikolay Litau, 51, Moscow, the leader
of the Marine programs of the Adventure Club.
The Royal Cruising Club of the Great Britain
acknowledged the first circumnavigation of the yacht "Apostol
Andrey" as the most outstanding achievement of the world
yachting in 1999. Nikolay Litau was awarded the Seamanship
Medal. In January 2002 the Cruising Club of America awarded
Nikolay Litau with the prestigious Blue Water Medal
for the first in history transparent sailing on yacht along
the North East Passage.
In November 2002 by the edict of the President
of the Russian Federation the skipper Nikolay Litau was awarded
by the Order of Courage.
During the different stages of the circumnavigation
the crew consisted of the following members: Alexander
