Participants.
Mikael Strandberg, 43
- Occupation: Explorer, author, photographer and lecturer.
Main responsibilities during the Expedition: Expedition
leader. Pretty much everything. From strategic planning
to sound engineering!
Titti Strandberg, 49
- Explorer and lecturer. The main occupation: a kindergarten
teacher for twenty years. Main responsibilities during the
Expedition: Pretty much everything, which concerns an Expedition.
Everything from the planning of the route to where to put
up camp. But my main responsibility is the keeping a down-to-earth
eye on the Expedition, maintenance for the equipment and
I will see to that everything is running and working smoothly.
And I will document the women we meet along our route.
Johan Ivarsson, 21, the third participant of the Expedition:
- "The reason why I want to go to Siberia is because
I have always been amazed by people doing all these expeditions
and other great travels that always seemed to be out of
reach for me or my skills. Until I met Mikael I never thought
that I would be capable of anything like this. Now I think
I got the knowledge and the spirit for this and it is something
I really would like to do for a living. What could be better
than to go with an experienced couple like the Strandbergs
and learn how to prepare and do such a great journey. This
is the reason why I am going to Siberia."
